I'M NEW HERE ...
what we believe
God’s Love - It all starts with God’s love for people. God loves you! From the first chapter of Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation, the whole Bible is the story of how much God loves us and wants to be in a relationship with us. (Jeremiah 31:3, Hosea 11:4; John 3:16)
My Sin - The problem is that the Bible says we are sinful creatures and that sin separates us from the love of God. Unless we deal with it, we will never discover the abundant life Jesus came to give us. (Amos 5:12; Psalm 51:3; Romans 6:19-23)
God’s Gift - Before creation, God knew we would fall away from him, but since he’s completely in love with us, he is determined to save us through Christ. So God sent Jesus into the world to take our sin upon himself and, in doing that, the righteousness of Jesus became ours ... as a gift. (Ephesians 1:4-5; Colossians 1:15-22; John 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
My Response - Even though God has given us the gift of eternal life through his Son, Jesus, God will never force that gift on any of us. We have a choice in the matter. But if we decide to invite Jesus to be the leader of our lives, he will come in and save us from ourselves, forgive our sin and lead us in life. (Rev. 3:20; Romans 10:9)
Our Life Together - Once we decide to open the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ, that moment begins an eternal journey that starts here on earth and reaches into eternity. As we place our trust and faith in Jesus daily, he leads us like a good shepherd. We have constant access to God through prayer, worship, reading scripture, celebrating communion, and other holy habits. As we trust in the Lord’s leading and as we yield our lives to His life in us, we grow more and more into the likeness of our Savior, Jesus. (Psalm 23; Acts 17:24-28; Matthew 28:20b)
