SUMMER MUSIC FOR WORSHIP
It’s time to consider providing special music for summer worship! A sign-up sheet is available at the table in the sanctuary hallway. You may also sign-up by calling Elizabeth in the church office at 217-345-3917. Singers, instrumentalists, groups, solos, etc. are all welcome! ALSO – as in past summers, the Second Sunday Singers will sing at the 8:30 service on the second Sunday of June (10), July (8) and August (12). All singers age high school and older are welcome! The group meets in the choir room at 8:00AM, rehearses a song, then sings at the 8:30 service. Mark your calendar and sing with us!
Wesley Church has people who are no longer able to attend church with us. To let them know that we do care and consider them part of our faith family, the Faith Friends Ministry has been started. YOU are invited to become a part of a special group of people who are finding out that by blessing others they are blessed themselves. All we ask is that you visit or phone the same member, or more than one member, at least once a month. You can choose to visit by yourself, with a friend, a spouse, your children or your entire family. Men – we need you, too!
To volunteer to help or to find out more about this important ministry, please call Pastor Janice (217-345-3917) or email her at email@example.com.
MENS'S BIBLE STUDY
The Men’s Bible study is moving to Friday mornings at 7:00 am beginning August 10th so Rev. Tom can join us. We are wrapping up the book of Acts and will be choosing a new book of the Bible to read, study and discuss as we allow God to reveal it’s meaning to us. Make every Friday a GOOD Friday by studying the Word of God with us.
DO WE HAVE YOUR INFO?
If you do not see your birthday or wedding anniversary listed in our monthly newsletter, please be sure to contact the church office with your information. You can also list the info in the comment section of your Making Connections card on Sunday morning. Also – please be sure to let us know of address and phone number changes. Thanks for helping us stay up to date!
REMEMBER. . . TO WEAR YOUR NAMETAG
Did you know that the most important accessory you can wear to worship is your nametag? Nametags help visitors – and sometimes longtime attendees – put names and faces together. With Easter Sunday on the horizon, it’s more important than ever to wear yours. If you don’t have a nametag, check the “I’d like to receive a nametag” box on your Making Connections card Sunday morning. Your nametag will be ready for you on the appropriate rack in the sanctuary entryway the following Sunday.
